Have you been told you need plastic surgery to eliminate your double chin, but don’t want to take such extreme measures? Have you tried diet and exercise without success?
KYBELLA TO THE RESCUE!
Up until now, double chin has been a tough aesthetic challenge, but thanks to Kybella your double chin can be a thing of the past!
The FDA recently approved the use of this amazing new drug for the treatment of double chin and we are proud to offer this powerful and highly effective treatment. We’re confident in Kybella because it's been the subject of 19 clinical studies involving 2,600 patients.
Kybella is used to improve the appearance of moderate to severe fullness caused by submental fat—the fat beneath the chin—in adults. In other words, Kybella is best suited for those who are overweight. Kybella is not appropriate for those with a lot of excess skin under the chin. That’s a different issue. You may also be wondering if Kybella can be used on other areas of the body. Right now, the answer is no.
How Kybella Works
Kybella is deoxycholic acid, which is "a naturally occurring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown of dietary fat." Kybella causes fat cells to burst by destroying the fat cell’s membrane. These destroyed cells are then eliminated by the everyday metabolic functions of the body.
What To Expect
After local anesthetic is injected into the area, patients receive a series of small injections with very thin needles. This takes about five minutes. An experienced dermatologist who has been specially trained must perform this procedure in order to prevent injury in this vulnerable area. It takes a few days to recover, but you will not need to use bandages. Post-treatment side effects can include redness, swelling, bruising, pain, and numbness. To achieve optimal results, complete treatment may require up to six visits spread approximately six weeks apart.
Why Is Kybella Better Than Liposuction?
Because Kybella is a noninvasive, nonsurgical treatment there are no incisions, no general or deep anesthesia, no leaking wounds, and little downtime. Liposuction can cause uneven fat removal leading to a lumpy look whereas Kybella’s uniform removal looks smooth and natural.
Are There Other Treatment Options That Compare?
The only other option is liposuction, which is a surgical procedure making it more involved. At this time, lasers do not give significant results.
