Ever wish you could polish your skin and smooth imperfections with a magic blending wand? Few among us haven’t wished this at one point or another and that’s what makes microdermabrasion an all-ages, widely beneficial treatment. You can stimulate skin regeneration and heal—and it won’t break the bank!
What is microdermabrasion?
Our microdermabrasion machine gently exfoliates the top layer of skin with a precision spray of very fine crystals. In that process, micro abrasions are created which trigger the skin’s natural self-healing process enabling it to produce new cells and collagen. With dead skin cells out of the way, skin-care creams and serums can work more effectively. Now that’s a win-win!
MICRODERMABRASION BEFORE & AFTER
This very sweet patient of ours is so genuinely happy with her results! She was really struggling with melasma, as you can see on the left.
After only one microdermabrasion treatment and a 70% Glytone peel, her melasma (hyperpigmentation) is MUCH improved. She worked with Sandra, our licensed medical aesthetician, to exfoliate and resurface in a safe, effective way.
Her at-home care:
Avene Gentle Cleanser & melaquin complex for dark spots. She uses glycolic cream wash on opposite days from Avene as well as Renew Retinol Cream created by Dr. Evans. Because sun protection is a must for melasma patients, she uses EltaMD UV daily.
We still have some work to do, so stay tuned to see results from her next session.

Does microdermabrasion hurt?
Our in-office treatment goes deeper than at-home dermabrasion, but numbing agents aren’t necessary.
Where on the body is it used?
We offer a microdermabrasion facial, but this treatment can also be performed on the neck and upper chest (décolletage). It should not be performed on delicate areas of skin.
How long does microdermabrasion take?
The time you spend in our comfortable spa chair getting the treatment is 30 minutes.
It is possible for some people to experience minor redness or swelling, so if you have an event, please give yourself ample time to be sure you fully recover. However, in most instances, the benefits of microdermabrasion are immediately visible. That’s why it’s used as a pre-Oscar treatment.
How often can you do microdermabrasion?
For the very best results, we recommend spacing treatments every 1-2 weeks for a series of 6 treatments. Pacing is important with this treatment and like any type of exfoliation, you don’t want to overdo it. The whole point is to stimulate healing, so give your body time to do its work.
Why choose us for your treatment?
All of our aesthetic procedures are medically safe, which means we sterilize our instruments and have strict protocols in place to ensure cleanliness. This keeps our patients healthy and prevents complications. Who wants to wonder? You want to feel reassured and enjoy your results.
